Unfortunately, car seats aren’t simple! In fact, 75-90% of car seats are not installed correctly, which places vehicle accidents as one of the leading causes of child mortality in the US.
There is an almost endless combination of seats and vehicles, and then your child’s age, height, weight, and life stage come into play as well. Contrary to popular belief, you can’t just show up at the local fire station to get it checked, most of the time a tech isn’t present.
Meeting with a safety technician can ensure that you have the right car seat for your child, the best position in your car, and the knowledge to have confidence installing it properly and securing your child safely going forward.
Car Seat Check
All visits take place at your home and last about 30-45 min
One car seat/child: $55
Two-three car seats/children: $75
Four+ car seats/children: $100
This visit includes the following:
Education about car seat safety basics
Evaluation of proper car seat for your child
Evaluation of vehicle and seat location
Achieving a good install
Ensuring the proper fit for your child
Teaching you how to install the seat yourself so you can get it right every time
